Marina Village will comprise o f 650 new homes, a hotel, leisure
facilities, restaurants and bars, a new 350-berth marina,
watersports centre and wetland nature reserve.
Key West Lakes Renaissance Projects
- The Britain’s Energy Coast™ masterplan includes 29 regeneration
projects ranging from nuclear new build and new training and
research facilities – such as Energus and the National Nuclear
Laboratory – to improvements to health services and significant
investment in transport links, leisure, culture and sporting
facilities. More information about Britain’s Energy Coast™.
- Whitehaven has already seen significant improvements to its

town’s top attraction The Beacon and redesigning traffic flow which
is currently designed around the movements of industrial
vehicles.

projects helping transform Maryport into a hub for business and
high quality tourism. Other include the redevelopment of Maryport
Marina; the iconic Ellenfoot Bridge at Maryport Harbour; and The
Wave performance and exhibition centre, which opened in summer
2008
