Workforce Initiatives
To support both the existing and future workforce, the NWDA
supports a number of training and employment initiatives as well as
funding fledgling Higher Education Institutions.
We support workplace training for people who are already in
employment but who need additional skills to successfully do their
current job or prepare for promotion. We also support training for
members of the current workforce and future workforce who require
higher level skills and key sector skills training.
We have funded the development of a number of Higher Education
Institutions which are critical to the economic growth of Northwest
sub-regions. We promote initiatives that help grow the workforce by
supporting people at the beginning and at the end of their
careers.
