BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2008

The show will be the biggest ever with around 8,000 people in
attendance and it is the first time the event will have been held
in Liverpool and the third time it is being hosted outside London
during its 55-year history. The two-hour spectacular, broadcast
live from 1900-2100 GMT, will be hosted by Sue Barker and Gary
Lineker.
The event will pay tribute to an extraordinary year in sport,
with the Olympics and Paralympics, Euro 2008, Wales' Six Nations
Grand Slam, Wimbledon and Andy Murray's heroics in tennis, Lewis
Hamilton leading the way in Formula One and Manchester United's
Premier League and Champions League double, just some of the
highlights.
