What's a Podcast?
Podcasts are now available for people who want to listen to
information sent from the website to their portable media player
without having to find and download it themselves.
Subscribers can now register to listen to our RSS feeds whilst
on the move, in podcast form, instead of only online. It can
also be for users with difficulties reading text or for those who
would simply rather listen than read.
Software required
First, if you haven't got one already, you need to install a
piece of software onto your machine which will search the web to
find the latest episode and automatically deliver it to your
computer.
Subscribe to the feed
Firstly follow the instructions in your Podcast software.
If you have iTunes you
can subscribe to some podcasts through the iTunes Podcast
Directory.
In all other cases you need to add the "feed" of the podcast to
your software. The feed is the web address of the podcast
which the software will use. Simply copy the feed url address
and paste it into your podcast software. How you do this will
depend on your software, though it's likely via a button or link
that says "Add" or "Subscribe".
Our feed addresses are listed below for you to copy.
Listening
When a new episode becomes available your software will
automatically download it from NWDA. You can listen to this
episode on your PC or transfer it to your portable player.
Unsubscribe
You should be able to easily unsubscribe using your Podcast
software.
